There is hundreds of cabanes a sucre in Quebec, Surcrerie de la Montagne arustic compound of split-log cabins,with just 1,500 tapped trees spread over 120 acres,its tiny syrup operation for Quebec,where 75% percent of the worlds supply is produced.
It was nice to visit with the family.

While visiting Athelstan,Hinchinbrooke,Quebec I came across this Caboose, Now the History about it.
The Caboose was built by Western Street Car and Foundry, Chicago,Illinois ( 1912 )
for Grand Trunk Box Car GT 20246, Renumbered GT 339446
Rebuilt in 1949 as Caboose C.N.R 78674

Today the Building is just a pile of old wood, even the Historical information plate was removed. the photos were taken last year.

Over the years, Ive have passing these building weekly going fishing and decide to photography more of the landscape, beside the area I'm fishing,The small house was the family's first house when they settle the land early 1900.

Homemade Boat Found

While checking a few fishing spots,and taking a few photos, I came across a Homemade Boat.amazing what you find, when the snow melts, It was well made, this area has the best smallmouth fishing,

Sunday the third day of Spring,and I decided to vist the local fishing spots,with SPinner Wallets in hand,it been a along winter, not ice fishing this year,during the winter I changed the look of my spinners, useing more Beads, and was exsided to cast a few to see there action in the water, the shoreline ice was out at some spots,casted a few hours , the wind made it cold, Temp -1 Sun, caught a small Perch. on Size #1 Silver French Blade spinner, 04oz Hook# 12.
All the fishing shacks were removed this week.Talking to the local fisherman it was a so-so season, fish caught mostly Pike.
